Festival composer-in-residence Roxanna Panufnik talks about her life, career and music to fellow composer Thomas Hyde. Since studying at the Royal Academy of Music, she has written a wide range of music, from opera, ballet and music theatre to choral, orchestral and chamber compositions and music for film and television. Roxanna was recently described by The Observer as ‘a gifted composer with a fast-growing reputation for heart, spunk and individuality … distinctive in voice, serious, bold and appealing’.
